[Photo] Babies at Ewha University hospital confirmed to have died from sepsis

Following autopsies conducted on the four babies who died at Ewha University hospital last month, it was confirmed that sepsis caused by a bacterial infection was the cause of death, the National Forensic Service announced on Jan. 12. Negligence on the part of hospital staff was suspected to have played a role in the deaths, and five staff members of the hospital, including three nurses and two doctors, will be tried on charges of involuntary manslaughter.
