Gangwon Province is well known for its variety of winter sports, due to its status of having the most annual snowfall in South Korea. This year, Pyeongchang County, where the Winter Olympics will take place in less a month’s time, has seen over 110 cm of snowfall. While skiing and snowboarding are the most common winter sports, visitors to Pyeongchang can enjoy a wide range of different activities.
