The Lunar New Year holiday (Seollal) begins on Thursday, and South Koreans are busily engaged in making preparations. Celebration of the holiday requires preparing a great deal of food and setting it up in an elaborate fashion to properly honor departed family members. Here, citizens are shown braving the cold at an open-air market in Busan on Feb. 11, four days before the holiday is set to begin.
