[Photo] First electric buses to hit Seoul roads beginning in September

The City of Seoul announced that 30 electric buses would be deployed to roads inside the capital’s four main gates as part of the “Green Traffic Regional Promotion Campaign” launched by the local government. This is a 16.7 square-km area in the city center of Seoul that currently uses about 2000 buses running along 73 different lines. Under the initiative, the city plans for electric buses to compose over 40% of its fleet by 2025. The photo shows an electric bus at San Joaquin Station in the US state of California.
