A cold spell that occurs after the official start of spring is referred to on the Korean Peninsula as, “winter’s jealousy of blooming flowers.” After a period of relatively warm weather, winter briefly returned with snow flurries across the country on Mar. 22. Two people can be seen walking through the storm along a path surrounded by camellia trees in front of the Baeknyun Temple in Gangjin County, South Jeolla Province. (provided by Gangjin County)
