A majority of South Koreans are dissatisfied with the government’s response to the severe PM2.5 pollution affecting the country’s air quality in recent months. A survey of 3,086 people conducted jointly by Incruit and DooitSurvey found that just 11.7% were “satisfied” with the measures taken by the government. 74.5% of respondents said that the government needs to put economic and diplomatic pressure on the Chinese government, while 69% said that the government needs to stabilize and perhaps subsidize the cost of masks that people can use to protect themselves against pollution.
