[Photo] Seoul Mayor to seek third term

Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon announced his bid for a third term during a press conference at the Democratic Party headquarters in the Yeouido district on Apr. 12. Park, who was first elected as mayor in 2012, said he would work together with the Moon Jae-in government so that by 2022, “ordinary citizens living in Seoul can have a healthy and humane life, a free and just life, and a life that they can love and share with others.” Park is considered the favorite in the mayor’s race, which also features the Bareun Mirae candidate Ahn Cheol-soo, Liberty Korea Party candidate Kim Moon-soo, and People’s Party candidate Kim Jin-sook.
