Cho Hyun-min, the youngest daughter of Korean Air CEO Cho Yang-ho, sparked controversy recently after she apologized on Facebook for reportedly throwing a bottle of water in a rage during a company meeting. Cho, who serves as a Korean Air senior vice president, “apologize[d] with [her] head bowed for foolish and reckless behavior.” Cho’s older sister Hyun-ah, who is also an executive with the airline, made international headlines in 2014 when she lost her temper after being served macadamia nuts in a bag rather than on a plate while sitting in first class. Cho berated the flight attendant and forced the plane to return to the gate so that the flight attendant could be removed from the airplane. She was later convicted in a Korean court for violating air safety and abuse of power. (by Park Su-jin, staff reporter)
