The Guided Rapid Transit (GRT) Bimodal Tram is set to be begin service in Incheon’s Cheongna International City from Apr. 21. The bimodal tram, which is shaped like a bus and runs on rubber tires, is directed by magnets in accordance with rail vehicles. The tram is powered by electric fuel cells and consists of two buses attached with a rubber connector that allows the vehicle to bend around corners. It can hold 103 people, and will run between Cheongna International City Station and Gajeong Station, with a fare of 1000 won (US$0.90) cash, or 950 won with a transit card.
