[Photo] Thousands of laborers march through Seoul city center on International Labor Day

Celebrations of 2018 International Labor Day took place in Seoul Plaza in front of City Hall and around Gwanghwamun Square on May 1. Celebrations were organized by the Korean Federation of Trade Unions in the spirit of a Korea where all workers’ rights are guaranteed. Over 16,000 participants (local police estimated 10,000) gathered for the celebrations. The individuals pictures above hold letters that spell out, “Let’s not put up with it,” showing their support for fair work conditions. (By Park Jong-shik, staff photographer)
