In celebration of Korea’s 46th Coming of Age Day, young adults celebrating their entry into adulthood gathered at Seoul’s Namsangol Hanok Village to participate in a traditional coming of age ceremony. Dressed in traditional ceremonial garb, the young women in the photo are seen going through various rituals that symbolize their passage into adulthood. The first Coming of Age Day in South Korea was celebrated in 1974 and has been celebrated on the third Sunday of May every year since.
