Gangwon Province announced on June 26 that procedures for entering Woljeongri Station, which was once used by North Korean troops and houses the remnants of a train that was bombed by UN forces during the Korean War, are to be simplified. Visitors who wanted to tour the former train station had to inquire beforehand to the military unit in charge, who then had to get authorization from USFK UN Command before authorizing the visit. Now, visitors can gain access to the station when approved of by the unit in charge.
