[Photo] Drone successfully delivers mail to remote mountainous area

A drone successfully delivered a package weighing 5kg on Aug. 8. The drone departed from the roof of Yeongwol Post Office and arrived at its destination, the Byeolmaro Observatory, which sits on top of Mt. Bongnae, in just eight minutes. The drone flight was a test trial by the Korea Post for a program to deliver mail to mountainous and isolated regions. Cooperating with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Korea Post plans to have its drone project in full operation by 2021. (provided by the Korea Post)
