[Photo] Former justice of Supreme Court chooses to serve as judge in lowest court

Former Supreme Court justice Park Bo-young has been reinstated as a judge by Chief Justice Kim Myeong-su. This is the first time that a retired Supreme Court justice has been reinstated as a judge after retirement. Park was originally appointed under then Chief Justice Yang Seung-tae, who is currently under investigation for collusion with the Park Geun-hye administration regarding politically volatile cases. Supreme Court justices usually open private law offices after retirement, but Park requested a position as a judge in the lower courts.
