[Photo] An island of garbage washed up by heavy rains

An image taken over the upper Soyang River in Injae County, Gangwon Province, shows a floating mass that looks like an island. In fact, the mass is actually a floating pile of garbage that weighs over 2,000 tons, washed up by recent rainstorms. The Gangwon branch of K-Water has announced that it intends to dispose of the garbage by mid-September.
