[Photo] A new funeral culture using drones to spread the ashes of loved ones

The families of departed loved ones can now spread the ashes of the departed over the ocean via remotely operated drones. The process is relatively simple compared to other conventional funeral practices, and takes only 30 minutes. Video footage of the ashes being spread is then delivered to the surviving family members in USB format. This is a significant technological development, as an estimated 82.7 percent of South Koreans chose to cremate the remains of their loved ones in 2016. (photo taken from a drone blog)
