[Photo] First lady’s surprise visit to local senior center on Senior Citizens Day

In honor of South Korea’s Senior Citizens Day, first lady Kim Jung-sook visited a local senior center near the Blue House, bringing snacks and talking with the community’s senior citizens about their everyday troubles and worries. Many of the elderly citizens were surprised by the visit, as it was the first time a first lady had ever set foot in the center. Two of the most common concerns were medical costs and the loneliness of old age.
