Ulsan became the first South Korean city to introduce hydrogen fuel cell buses in its public transportation network on Oct. 22. The bus, made by Hyundai Motor, was introduced into the city’s 124 line. After a launch ceremony for the fuel cell buses, the City of Ulsan, Hyundai Motor and Ulsan Bus signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote and expand the market for fuel cell vehicles. Hyundai Motor announced that the buses have been fitted with air purifiers that can cancel the out the pollution produced by 40 mid-sized diesel vehicles. (provided Hyundai Motor)
