The South Korean Air Force’s first-ever aerial refueling aircraft, an A330 MRTT made by Airbus D&S, arrived on Nov. 12 at the Gimhae Air Base. The aerial refueling aircraft is expected to result in a historic increase in the operational radius of South Korean fighter planes, which until now have been limited by refueling restrictions. The aircraft will undergo a month of inspections before being introduced into operations. Three more of the same aircraft will arrive in South Korea next year.
