Civic groups gathered in Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Plaza on Jan. 30 to honor the “unnamed” victims of hidden camera photography and videos and to protest cyber-related sexual violence against women. Various groups representing South Korea’s environmental and feminist activists attended to event to protest the production and distribution of pornography based on hidden camera footage, and to protest the government’s passive attitude regarding such criminal behavior.
