The Liberty Korea Party (LKP) may suspend its convention for electing its leader as its scheduled overlaps with that of the second North Korea-US summit, Feb. 27-28. While many party members have requested delaying the convention, others argue that they shouldn’t change their schedule based on outside events. The LKP called an emergency meeting on Feb. 7 to discuss the issue. The LKP’s prominent members include former Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn, former party leader Hong Jun-pyo and former Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon.
