[Photo] Moon says Trump deserves to receive Nobel Peace Prize

In a briefing on Feb. 18, Blue House Spokesperson Kim Eui-kyum said that South Korean President Moon Jae-in thinks that US President Donald Trump has earned the right to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. Kim added that Moon’s opinion is based on Trump’s contribution to the improvement of inter-Korean relations and stability and his resolution to mending North Korea-US relations. However, Kim added that Moon has not given his official recommendation for Trump as a Nobel Peace Prize candidate and does not have any plans for doing so. Moon aroused attention in April 2018 by remarking, “Trump can have the Nobel Peace Prize. We’ll take the peace.” (Hankyoreh archives)
