South Korea is now the second most polluted country among OECD nations. The environmental organization Greenpeace International recently published its IQAir AirVisual 2018 World Air Quality Report, which revealed that South Korea has average fine particle levels (PM2.5) of 24.0㎍/㎥, being beat only by Chile (24.9㎍/㎥) among OECD member nations. Furthermore, 44 South Korean cities made the report’s list of 100 most polluted cities. (Kang Jae-hoon, staff photographer)
