The civic group 38 Women (in reference to Mar. 8), held a celebration of International Women’s Day on Mar. 8 in Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Plaza. In attendance was Seo Ji-hyun, a female prosecutor who went public with experiences of sexual harassment by a former Justice Ministry official in January 2018 and helped spark South Korea’s Me Too movement. In her speech after receiving this year’s award for women’s activism, Seo said she dreams of a world where Me Too would no longer be necessary. (Baek So-ah, staff photographer)
