Five years after the Sewol ferry tragedy, the camp of memorial tents set up by victims’ family members in Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Plaza will be removed on Mar. 18 and replaced by a permanent wooden structure. The photos of the victims and other commemorative memorabilia inside the tents will be removed in a special ceremony on Mar. 17. The permanent memorial will not only commemorate the victims of the Sewol disaster but also serve as an exhibit for safety issues in general. (provided by the Seoul Metropolitan Government)
