Female representation in high-level government positions in South Korea stands at a mere 6.7%, according to the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. This figure is significantly lower than the OECD average of 28.6%. However, female representation in public institutions has steadily risen in recent years, revealing a gradual cracking of South Korea’s glass ceiling.
