South Korea’s first public used bookstore opened on Mar. 27. The bookstore is housed in a former Amway warehouse under Jamsil Railway Bridge, near Jamsillaru Station. The store comprises 32 shelves and offers more than 120,000 secondhand books, many of which are rare titles that are difficult to acquire in standard, commercial bookstores. The store occupies a 1,465-square-meter area and is officially called the “Seoul Book Repository,” and has been commissioned by 25 other used bookstores to sell their books.
