The Roh Moo-hyun Foundation, named after the late President Roh Moo-hyun (1945-2009), is planning on completing two memorials honoring the former president by May 2021. One memorial will be in Seoul’s Jongno District, while the other will be in Gimhae, South Gyeongsang Province. The foundation announced on May 6 that construction for the Seoul memorial will begin next month. Tentatively named the “Roh Moo-hyun Citizens’ Center,” the memorial will focus on instilling in people the spirit of democracy. Donations for the center can be made at the following website: simincenter.knowhow.or.kr. (provided by the Roh Moo-hyun Citizens’ Center)
