[Photo] Asian black bear spotted in DMZ for first time

A wild Asian black bear has been spotted in the DMZ for the first time. Unmanned surveillance equipment set up in the DMZ under the Ministry of Environment and the National Institute of Ecology captured an image of an Asian black bear, which has been an endangered species in Korea since 1998. The equipment uses sensors that captivate a camera which then captures images. The bear captured on camera is thought to be only eight to nine months old and weigh around 25 to 35kg.
