Surviving family members of the victims of the Gwangju Democratization Movement visited the May 18 National Cemetery to pay tribute to their lost loved ones. The photo shows Kim Jeom-rye, 82, the mother of Jang Jae-cheol, who was 23 when he was killed on May 23. Jang was transporting injured people to the hospital. He was killed by paratroopers who had been sent to reinforce the martial law forces. (Baek So-ah, staff photographer)
