On the first day of enforcing South Korea’s revised drunk driving legislation, 12 people failed breathalyzer tests in Incheon. The new law prohibits driving with a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.03% or higher, a revision from 0.05%. This means drivers can be punished for driving after having just one drink. As police will crack down on drivers even during the morning commute, anyone who’s had a lot to drink the night before is advised to use public transportation.
