[Photo] University students spend their summer vacations doing meaningful work

Spending the summer vacation in a meaningful way, many South Korean university students are gathering on Dokdo to express their patriotism or doing volunteering work in rural areas. Representing universities from all over the country, 160 students conducted a flash mob performance on Dokdo on June 26, holding South Korean flags and proclaiming the isle as “Korean territory.” Video footage of the performance is expected to be shared domestically and internationally. Meanwhile, over 50 students from Korea University of Technology and Education donated their technical expertise to farmers in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province, by repairing and replacing old farming equipment on June 23-25.
