On Oct. 27, the Liberty Korea Party (LKP) released an animated video on its official YouTube channel depicting South Korean President Moon Jae-in behaving and speaking foolishly in his underwear, an allusion to the Danish tale “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” The video also depicts former Justice Minister Cho Kuk in handcuffs. Democratic Party Spokesman Lee Hae-sik responded to the video by calling it “blasphemous,” adding that it “truly tested the limits of one’s patience.” The Blue House also condemned the video. Spokesperson Ko Min-jung accused the LKP of “tearing down others in order to raise themselves,” calling on them to engage in behavior that “instills hope” in South Korean politics.” (LKP YouTube channel)
