North Korean short track skater Choe Un-song injured his right leg after falling and crashing into the safety padding on the side of the track during training on Feb. 2. He was then stretchered off and taken to Asan Hospital for examination. Doctors said that Choe had avoided a major injury and did not break any bones, and he will likely be able to compete in the games. Choe was granted a wild-card entry into the Olympics by the International Olympic Committee. He is scheduled to compete in the 500 meter short track, with heats for the event slated for Feb. 20.
