[Photo] North Korean cheerleading squad gives fifth public performance

The North Korean cheerleading squad gave a 30-minute public performance at the Pyeongchang Olympic Plaza in Gangwon Province on the afternoon of Feb. 20. The squad, which included an 80 member brass band, performed the songs, “Nice to Meet You,” “Hometown’s Spring,” and “Lunar New Year.” This was the fifth public performance by the squad since they arrived in South Korea earlier this month. About 1000 tourists and South Korean citizens cheered the performance with shouts of, “Great job!” and “We are one!” (by Park Jong-shik, staff photographer)
