[Photo] Civic group buys bus advertisement to support inter-Korean summit

The Daejeon chapter of the civic group “Southern Representatives for the Implementation of the 6.15 Summit Agreement” announced on Apr. 23 that it had purchased an advertisement for the #615 bus in Daejeon in support of the inter-Korean summit. (The 6.15 summit refers to the June 15, 2000 meeting between Kim Dae-jung and Kim Jong-il.) The ad will run from Apr. 24, and reads, “We welcome the 2018 South-North Summit. North and South join hands together and go toward unification! Let’s go toward peaceful prosperity!”

Park Hee-in, a representative of the group, said, “This advertisement is the product of the full and unified effort of unification groups. Our hope is that the summit will become an opportunity to settle the issue of peace on the Korean Peninsula.” (by Song In-geol, Daejeon correspondent)
