[Photo] Citizens hang 1500 unification flags along road to summit

The civic groups Road to Reunification and Goyang Citizens’ Committee gathered along the Unification Bridge in Paju, Gyeonggi Province to hang flags displaying the Korean Peninsula on Apr. 25. The flags were purchased with private citizen donations of 10,000 won (US$9.30) each. The groups hung flags along a 3km length of a road leading to Panmunjeom, where the summit is to take place. The flags reflect the groups’ hopes for peace and unification. (by Choi Min-young, staff reporter)
