[Photo] North Korea constructs new communal residences near border

A complex of new communal residences has been constructed in the village of Daesong, North Hwanghae Province, in North Korea, close to the border with South Korea. The above photos were taken from the Ganghwa Peace Observatory, near Yangsa Village, Incheon. An observatory employee who’s served as a tour guide for the past 10 years commented that North Korea has demolished abandoned buildings in the area to build new communal residences, and that North Korean locals have already moved in.
