[Photo] Sung Kim expected to join prep team for North Korea-US summit

Sung Kim, US Ambassador to the Republic of the Philippines, is expected to join the American preparatory committee for the North Korea-US Summit scheduled for June 12 in Singapore. Kim was head of the US delegation at the Six-Party Talks of 2008 and is considered an expert on inter-Korean affairs and North Korean negotiations. Since the resignation of Joseph Yun, the US State Department’s representative for North Korea policy, Kim has been named spotlighted as the US government’s last remaining expert on inter-Korean affairs.
