[Photo] Direct inter-Korean military communication line established in West Sea

The South Korean Ministry of National Defense (MND) announced on July 17 that direct inter-Korean military communication lines in the West Sea region have been reconnected. This is the first time the lines were reconnected after being after being disconnected on Feb. 11, 2016, under the Park Geun-hye administration. The reestablishment of inter-Korean military communication was one of the terms agreed to during the high-level military talks on June 14 at Panmunjeom.
