South Koreans selected for the reunions for divided families left from Hanhwa Resort Seorak in Sokcho, Gangwon Province, to the reunion site at Mt. Kumkang on Aug. 20. Most of the 89 participants were highly advanced in years, and many of them required assistance. One of them had to be piggy-backed to get on the bus, while another needs a wheelchair to move around. The first round of reunions will be held on Aug. 20-22, the second round on Aug. 24-26. (photo pool)
