On Aug. 20, the first round of the 21st reunion for divided Korean families took place at the Mt. Kumgang meeting hall in North Korea. Lee Geum-seom, 92, was reunited with her son Ri Song-chol, 71, for the first time in 67 years. Lee lives in South Korea Ri lives in the North. Baek Seong-gyu, 101, was the oldest participant in the reunion, where he got to meet his daughter and granddaughter for the first time since their separation during the Korean War.
