[Photo] Paju City to build gondola in Imjingak resort area near Panmunjom

The city of Paju, Gyeonggi Province, announced on Oct. 3 that it will begin construction on a gondola in the Imjingak resort area on Oct. 12 as part of an effort to boost unification tourism. Once finished, the gondola will gives visitors an aerial view of the Civilian Control Zone (CCZ) south of the DMZ. The 850m gondola will connect the Imjingak resort with the former US Army base Camp Greaves, which was formally returned to South Korea in 2007, by crossing the Imjin River.
