[Photo] Russian senate speaker says Kim Jong-un preparing for visit to Russia

During a meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-in at the Blue House on Oct. 5, Valentina Matviyenko, chairwoman of Russia's Federation Council (Senate), said that North Korea and Russia are working on the details for a visit by Kim Jong-un to Moscow. Under Putin’s orders, Matviyenko visited North Korea on Sept. 9 to attend a celebration of the foundation of the North Korean government. Additionally, Moon and Matviyenko discussed potential measures for assuring denuclearization and peace on the Korean Peninsula. (Blue House photo pool)
