[Photo] A harvest of rice to send tractors to North Korean farmers

A coalition of farmers who call themselves the “Unification Farm” gathered on Oct. 31 in Goesan County, North Chungcheong Province, in preparation to sell seven to eight tons of rice and then use the proceedings to buy tractors to send to farmers in North Korea. Although the farmers say they’re “selling” the rice, they’re in actuality delivering it to people generous enough to offer donations to the cause. The gift of tractors will be delivered by the coalition in the name of farmers aiding each other, regardless of whether they’re in the South or North.
