Former US President Jimmy Carter gave the opening address in the Roundtable for Peace on the Korean Peninsula, which was held from Nov. 9 to 11 in Atlanta, Georgia. In his address, Carter stressed the need to continue sending humanitarian aid to North Korea. The Roundtable for Peace on the Korean Peninsula was established in 2016 by the World Council of Churches, the World Methodist Council, the Korean Methodist Church and the United Methodist Church to support inter-Korean peace and denuclearization.
