[Photo] Pompeo says 2nd N. Korea-US summit will hopefully occur early next year

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has expressed his hope that the second North Korea-US summit between Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump will occur early next year. In an interview with KNSS radio on Dec. 20, Pompeo said, “We are hopeful that in the new year, President Trump and Chairman Kim will get together not too long after the first of the year and make even further progress on taking this (nuclear) threat to the United States away from us.” Pompeo added that “we’re in a better place today,” with "no more missiles being tested, no more nuclear testing.” (Hwang Joon-bum, Washington correspondent)
