The 2019 Pyeongchang International Peace Film Festival (PIPFF) will be held from Aug. 16 to 20 in Pyeongchang, Gangneung and Mt. Kumgang, the Gangwon Provincial Office announced on Jan. 17. The event will be co-hosted by the Gangwon Film Commission, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Film Council to celebrate 100 years of Korean films. It will be the first inter-Korean film project since the screening of a North Korean film in the Busan International Film Festival under President Roh Moo-hyun.
