Bars in Hanoi have gotten creative with their drink menus in anticipation of the second North Korea-US summit scheduled for Feb. 27 and 28. The city’s Standing Bar is offering pints of its “Kim Jong Ale,” which is being brewed especially for the summit. "[Kim Jong-un ale] was inspired by the pure streams of Mount Paektu between North Korea and China," said Nguyen Thi Huong Anh, manager of Standing Bar, adding that it “has a hot and spicy flavor with a soft and fresh aftertaste.” Tannin Wine Bar in the city’s Old Quarter is serving up its "Peace Negroniations," which manager Antoine Ursat says is a summit-inspired twist on the classic Negroni. Not too far from Tannin Wine Bar, the Unicorn Pub is pouring rounds of "Rock It, Man,” a drink made with soju, bourbon, Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, pineapple juice, vanilla and grenadine, which is served with miniature North Korean and US flags.
