FIFA President Gianni Infantino mentioned the possibility of a joint bid by the South and North Korea for the Women’s World Cup in 2023. “I have been hearing for the Women’s World Cup in 2023, the two Koreas,” Infantino said. “I have been hearing that. It would be great,” Infantino was quoted by the AP on Mar. 4 after the annual meeting of the International Football Association Board (IFAB) in Aberdeen, Scotland. Australia, Colombia, Japan and South Africa have also expressed an interest in bidding for the 2023 World Cup.
